What ibacalao is

ibacalao is an independent practice tool that provides AI-generated formative feedback on IB Internal Assessment drafts. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Feedback is for practice purposes only and does not constitute an official IB assessment.

Your document — no plagiarism-detection risk

• The text or PDF you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate your feedback, then immediately discarded.
• We do not store, log, or retain any copy of your document on our servers.
• Because your document is never stored, using ibacalao cannot create a submission record in plagiarism-detection systems such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
• We never use your document to train any AI model.

Usage limits

• Each device (IP address) receives up to 3 free reviews.
• Providing an email address unlocks 2 additional reviews, for a maximum of 3 per day.
• The daily limit resets after 24 hours. There is currently no paid tier — the 3/day cap is the hard maximum.
• We reserve the right to block access for automated or abusive use.

Score estimates

Scores generated by ibacalao are estimates based on the official IB mark-band descriptors fed to an AI model. They are not guaranteed to match the judgment of a real IB examiner, and ibacalao accepts no liability for any discrepancy between an estimated score and a final IB grade.

Acceptable use

• ibacalao is intended for individual IB students reviewing their own work.
• You may not use ibacalao to submit other students' work without their knowledge.
• You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use ibacalao. If you are under 16, please get permission from a parent or guardian.

Disclaimer of warranties

ibacalao is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of feedback, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of ibacalao after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
